Former Vice President of Nigeria , Atiku Abubakar on Thursday, July 2, 2015, urged leaders of the All Progressive Congress to drop their personal interest and “extreme” position on issues concerning the party and work in the interest of the country.
In a statement by his media office, Atiku called on the leaders in party to concentrate positive energies in building unity, cohesion and harmony among party leaders and other stakeholders.
The Former vice president was ahead of the National Executive Council meeting of the All Progressive Congress scheduled to hold on Friday, July 3, 2015.
Atiku said its time the party overcame the crisis arising from the National Assembly election of principal officers.
The statement read in part: “We can resolve our differences when our leaders individually and collectively shift ground from extreme positions and move to the centre in the interest of our party and our country.”
