Former Vice President, currently a member of the opposition All Progressives Congress on Saturday, January 3, 2015 debunked rumours that he might return to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before the elections in February.
The former vice-president made the remark via the Director-General of his media office, Shehu Garba, who said the rumour was being peddled by mischief makers.
He said: “There is no iota of truth in such claims. It is not only false, it is malicious and a product of the futile imaginations of those peddling it.”
Kano State Gpverno0r, Rabiu Kwakwanso while reacting to the claim via his Director of Press and Public Relations, Baba Dantiye who enthused that the news was baseless and a desperate move by the PDP.
Dantiye said, “He (Kwankwaso) is presently APC’s candidate for Kano Central Senatorial District. I think it’s just PDP’s desperation.”
