A video of what appears to be a heated exchange between Abba Kyari, chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and Winifred Oyo-Ita, head of service of the federation inside the Federal Executive Council chambers, Aso Rock Villa, is currently trending on social media.
Babagana Monguno, National Security adviser (NSA), and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo were seen with the two top government officials in the video captured on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Although the noise at the background overshadowed her voice, Oyo-Ita was visibly upset. After making her point, she moved briskly to her seat.
There are speculations that this exchange is connected with the controversial recall and promotion of a pensions fund looter, Abdulrasheed Maina and a memo leaked to Punch newspaper written by Oyo-Ita to Kyari.
The leaked memo shows that Oyo-Ita briefed President Buhari on the recall of Maina and that the head civil servant had warned the president of the PR implications of recalling the fugitive to the service of the government.
