BB Shehu, the chief returning officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the just conducted March 9th governorship election for Kano State Inconclusive.
Just before the announcement, in the evening of Monday, March 11, 2019, results collated from all the 44 local governments of Kano state shows that PDP was leading the polls with 1,020,465 votes while APC had 987,459 votes.
Kano joins Benue, Sokoto, Adamawa, Bauchi and Plateau states on inconclusive polls. The common denominator in all these polls is the fact that the opposition, People’s Democratic Party candidates are leading in the poll.
