Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Onueze CJ Okocha, has urged the Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to probe the immediate past Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, t arrest him if he fails to honour their invitation.
The former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State, while addressing growing concerns that Amaechi may not show up at the commission said: “It is mandatory that anybody invited by Judicial Commission of Inquiry must appear and if such a person does not appear, the Commission has the right to issue a warrant of arrest for such a person.
“The point must be made that nobody in this country is above the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Somebody who is a former Governor ought to know that he has the responsibility to uphold the law and the Constitution he swore to, when he entered office.”
