Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 launched iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus which the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook termed as the “best iPhones” the company has ever produced.
According to an ABC report, Apple’s vice president of marketing Phil Schiller explained features of the iPhone 6 which makes it stand out: The iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches diagonally and the iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches, compared to the iPhone 5S size of 4 inches. The phones are thinner than ever: 6.9 mm for the iPhone 6 and 7.1 mm for the larger iPhone 6 Plus. Apple is also selling silicone and leather cases.
Cook, in his speech said Apple was “launching the biggest advancement in the history of iPhone.”
The price for the iphone 6 are as follows: The iPhone 6 starts at $199 for a 16 GB configuration, $299 for 64 GB and $399 for a new and whopping big 128 GB configuration, with a two-year contract, available to ship on Friday, September 19, 2014
The iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 (16GB), $399 (64GB) and $499 (128GB). Both phones come in three colors: gold, silver and space gray.
