ABUJA, Nigeria – Supporters of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are excitedly awaiting the return of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is set to return to the country today from his vacation in France.
Tinubu had travelled to France on March 21, following his victory in the presidential election, to take a break and plan his transition program after an exhausting campaign season.
The APC campaign council had explained that the trip was also part of Tinubu’s preparation for the Umrah and Ramadan fasting in Saudi Arabia.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s director of media and publicity, the president-elect is returning to Nigeria on Monday, April 24, 2023, ahead of his inauguration on May 29. Onanuga confirmed the news via Twitter, and the APC supporters eagerly anticipate Tinubu’s return.
