Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former chairman of Committee on Appropriation of Nigeria’s lower chamber, the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 met with leaders of the All Progressives Congress at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
Jibrin, who arrived at the APC Headquarters around 2pm, was summoned by the national executive of the party after his allegation of budget padding against the leadership of the lower chamber of the National Assembly led to a tension in the House.
Present at the meeting were the APC deputy national chairman, North, Lawal Shuaibu; and the national vice chairman, North-West, Inuwa Abdulkadir.
It was learnt that the national officers of the party from the North specifically summoned Jibrin to the meeting.
Jibrin, an APC lawmaker from Kano State, had on Monday, August 1, 2016, submitted a petition against Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, and other leaders of the House to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and other anti-corruption and security agencies in the country.
