Governors elected on the platform of the PDP and APC on Tuesday June 16th 2015 held crucial meeting ahead of the Nigerian Governors Forum slated to hold later today.
A notice made available to members of the press by the PDP governors stated that a new chairman of the form would be elected.
The notice which was signed by the coordinator of the forum stated that governor Mimiko who was deputy to former governor Godswill Akpabio would be elected as the new chairman of the forum.
No formal statement from the APC but sources say the governors were discussing the current financial situation of many states, who are finding it hard to pay workers’ salaries.
According to reports, it was learnt that the current financial crises faced by some states was also top of the agenda at the meeting of the PDP governors.
