A Federal High Court In Kano has set aside a ruling of the FCT High Court suspending the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
Justice Lewis Allagoa on Thursday, March 5, 2020, ordered the police and Department of State Service, DSS, to provide security for Oshiomhole to resume in his office.
On Wednesday, Justice Danlemi Senchi, had granted an order of interim injunction stopping Oshiomhole from parading himself as the APC National Chairman.
However, hours after the ruling, Oshiomhole appealed the judgment at the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division.
The Kano high court ruling was reportedly delivered by Justice Lewis Allagoa. But it is yet unclear who filed the case or whether the court has the jurisdiction to set aside the previous ruling.

Justice Danlami Senchi, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, ordered Oshiomhole to step down pending the determination of the substantive suit seeking his perpetual removal as the APC chairman.
The judge said that political parties must be bound by their constitution and having been suspended by his ward, Comrade Oshiomhole is restrained from functioning as the National Chairman of the party pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit
The judge fixed hearing for April 7 and 8, 2020.
Former Oyo Governor Ajimobi Emerges As New APC Deputy National Chairman
In what appears to be a swift reaction to the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the party has approved new national officers.
“The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has approved the nomination of Waziri Bulama as the Party’s acting national secretary, an e-mailed statement by the national spokesperson of the party, Lanre Issa-Onilu to The Trent revealed.
Also, Abiola Ajimobi, the immediate past governor of Oyo State, has been announced as the deputy national chairman (South), and Paul Chukwuma as the national auditor.
According to the statement, the decision was reached on January 14, 2020, during the meeting of the NWC at the party’s National Secretariat.
“Following the resignation of H.E. Mai Mala Buni as the Party’s National Secretary in May 2019 prior to his election as the Governor of Yobe State, the party subsequently gave notice for a replacement from the zone,” the statement read.
“The NWC has also approved the nominations of Senator Abiola Ajimobi as the deputy national chairman (South) and Paul Chukwuma as the National Auditor following nominations from the respective zones.”
