The impeached deputy governor of Ondo state, Ali Olanusi, has been compensated by the All Progressives Congress who appointed him as a member of the party’s highest decision making body, Board Of Trustees (BOT).
Governo Olusegun Mimiko had unleashed his wrath on the deputy governor, Olanusi who had defected from the the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress just few weeks before the elections by making sure he was impeached on grounds of corruption, absenteeism and causing disaffection in the state cabinet.
Olanusi was replaced by Lasisi Oluboyo with immediate effect.
Honourable Mai Bala Buni, the Secretary to the APC’s National Executive Committee, signed a letter that mentioned Ali Olanusi’s new position which is to last for four years.
The letter which was back dated to Monday, November 17, 2014 said the appointment would last for four years starting from July 2014.
The letter advised the former deputy governor to liaise with other members of the board to work for the progress, unity and development of the party.
It said the 72-year-old Olanusi would work within the ambit of the constitution of the APC and take decisions objectively on behalf of the party in the interest and growth of the members.
