A suspected member of an armed robbery gang terrorizing the community has been set ablaze by an angry mob in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
It was learnt that the the deceased was caught after an attack while his cohorts escaped.
Rather than hand him over to the police or appropriate security agencies, the mob took the laws into their hands and meted out instant jungle justice on him.
The graphic video of the encounter was uploaded on Youtube by an eyewitness.
From the video, the mob beat the young man to a pulp before pouring some inflammable liquid on him.
He irked the mob further when he attempted to run away following the beatings he got from the visibly enraged mob.
They chased after him when they finally caught him, they gave him more beatings with sticks and other weapons before someone struck a match and set him on fire.
The man was heard screaming the ‘Jesus, Jesus’ several times before he was finally burnt to death.
