Lynching of suspected kidnappers by irate mobs has been on the increase in Lagos after fruitless attempt made by the police to stop this criminal acts carried out by these groups carrying out justice over suspected criminals.
A man around Egbeda area of Lagos, accused of being a kidnapper was about to be lynched by mobs on Thursday, May 8, 2014 if not for police intervention who arrived the scene just about the time petrol was to be poured on him in order to set him on fire.
However, after a brief investigation done by the police, it was found out that the group had no evidence whatsoever to back up their claims.
