A student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Rowland Osuru Izuchukwu, was caught allegedly trying to engage a fellow student in homosexually on January 15th 2014.
The 300 level Law student received ten strokes of the cane by other students after he was caught caressing his victim who was reading at upper buttery of the popular Awolowo Hall on the campus at about 4am.
The victim was said to have fallen asleep when there was power outage before the gay student approached him, started caressing him and attempted inserting his manhood into his anus.
The victim woke up to the shocker and Izuchukwu ran away. He was chased and caught at the neighbour female hall of residence called Mozambique.
Students at the scene took justice on Izuchukwu giving him 10 lashes and ordering him to write an ap[ology letter to his victim, and paste the letter on all boards in the campus hall of residence.
