[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here is this soothing excitement I get whenever I see this pair. This pair reminds me of the many blessings and beauty showered on Anambra.
In Anambra, you get most of the finest gentlemen of Igbo extraction. Most captains of industries, scholars and academics, oil magnets, business moguls and exceptional leaders.
Anambra is richly blessed that it has earned a place as the beautiful bride of South-East and by extension, Nigeria. There is literally no sector in Nigeria you won’t find and Anambrarian flying the flag of excellence and valour which Ndi Anambra is known for.
The two gentlemen captured below are a reflection of the many blessings bestowed on Anambra. One of them is a former Governor of the State and Vice Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The other, who has often been captured on his ever-glowing “white-senator” which appears so refreshing and reflects in a special way, his “Ka Anambra Chawapu” mantra, is Valentine Ozigbo. An ex-Transcorp President and Group CEO and a frontline gubernatorial aspirant of PDP.
Extolling the virtues of these gentlemen, one would rightly say they have a lot in common. Polished, refined and men of uncommon intellectual sagacity who has always reflected a commitment to excellence and demonstrated administrative competence at several levels.
Peter Obi was a light to Ndi Anambra. His achievements while in service to Ndi Anambra brought smiles to the faces of a lot of Ndi Anambra. In fact, his legacies still stand tall and remain unmatched across several states in the country.
Valentine Ozigbo is a promising young leader with an intriguing track record in management and administration. His innovative acumen and commitment to continuous improvement was the turning point of Trancorp. Transcorp witness unimaginable growth during his administrative era as the Transcorp boss.
One cannot help but take cognizance of his philanthropic gestures across the state. Recently, he donated over a million naira to communities in Anambra plagued by the flood. At the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, he showed solidarity to the indigent. He distributed numerous relief materials to families and households across Anambra.
The ex-Transcorp boss who is exceptionally endowed with finesse and elegance has taken a commendable step by stepping into the ring to return Anambra back to the glorious days they enjoyed good governance.
Indeed, Gov. Peter Obi created a void which is yet to be adequately filled.
VCO embodies the competence, capacity and credibility to take up the mantle and most importantly, deliver good governance to the doorstep of every “Onye Anambra”.
Like I said above, Anambra is blessed with enormous human resources. The journey to restoring Anambra to that path where she will pride herself as the beautiful bride of the nation will take one who is neither divisive nor nepotistic but one who will reward hard work, excellence and will be radically committed to continuous improvement.
I can only see that man in Valentine Ozigbo.
He is truly a man for everybody and for no one. He will build a longer table to accommodate everyone. Let him fly the flag!!!
