Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: Amazon Removes Alleged Kim Porter Memoir Amid Family Backlash

Must read

NEW YORK, USA – Amazon has pulled a controversial memoir from its site, which claimed to reveal details of an abusive relationship between the late actor and model Kim Porter and her longtime partner, hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Porter and Combs’ children denounced the memoir, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side… as a fabrication.

The book, which reached bestseller status on Amazon in September, was removed after Porter’s children publicly declared it a “complete fabrication.”

The memoir, authored under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, details alleged physical abuse, sexual coercion, and other acts of violence purportedly committed by Combs during his relationship with Porter.

“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”

Controversial Release and Swift Removal

The memoir, published independently by Todd Christopher Guzze—who uses the name Chris Todd—garnered significant attention following the news of Combs’ recent arrest and the allegations made against him.

The book was quietly released in paperback for $22 but quickly skyrocketed on Amazon’s bestseller list in the wake of the indictment, with shocking claims that aligned with Combs’ legal troubles.

Todd, who defines himself as an “investigative producer, author, and journalist,” told The Associated Press in September that he pieced together the memoir using material allegedly provided by sources close to Porter and Combs.

He claimed to have received a “flash drive, documents, and tapes” from Porter, which he used to craft the book.

However, Porter’s children, who have fiercely criticised the memoir, have maintained that it is entirely fictional and does not represent their mother’s story.

Combs has also pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Response from Publisher and Family

As of Tuesday, Todd had not commented on the book’s removal when contacted by the AP.

The book’s rapid rise and subsequent disappearance from Amazon have fueled ongoing speculation about the veracity of its claims, as well as its timing, which coincided with Combs’ legal woes.

Porter, who passed away in 2018, shared three children with Combs.

Despite the current legal controversies surrounding him, their family has been vocal in rejecting the memoir, defending both Porter’s memory and Combs.

While the memoir is no longer available, the situation continues to draw attention, as both Combs and Porter’s legacy face scrutiny.
