As the day for the 2015 election is fast approaching, entertainers and Nollywood practitioners are coming out in large number to show their support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election.
The newest to join President Jonathan’s supporters are the Alaba Music Promoters Association.
The association, led by Wale Kuku, is one of the biggest platforms for established and new artistes to showcase their music and videos on mix CDs sold nationwide.
Speaking with newsmen, one of the highly respected members of the association popularly known as Kelly or the Moving Train praised the President for the re-construction of roads in Lagos especially the Apapa-Oshodi express road.
He said, “Whenever I went for business around Ikeja from Alaba, the Apapa-Oshodi expressway was a nightmare.
“Today, the road is fully rebuilt from Mile 2 to Oshodi and I travel on that road under 10minutes as against 3-5 hours before,” Kelly said.
Uche aka Person Entertainment also a member of the association said, “Going to Eastern parts of Nigeria like Ogoja in Cross River for business took almost 3 days by road. Now, I spend less than 16 hours. Ore–Benin is perfect. The East–West Road is one of the best roads ever and is nearing completion. And when the Lagos to Ibadan express road is complete, it would directly impact on my business.”
Nicholas of Nicky Entertainment in Alaba market also commended the President for the completion of the Enugu International Airport which is the first in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
According to him, “It has made business and travel extremely comfortable and cheaper.”
