Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on the people of the state to continue to support contractors to deliver on pro-people projects.
The governor spoke in Port Harcourt on Monday, August 10, 2015 after inspecting on-going Industry and Rumukwurusi-Eneka road projects.
Governor Wike said that all the road projects are geared towards reviving the economy of the state.
He noted that the execution of the road projects will be faster when the contractors are given the right environment to work.
The governor said: “My appeal is that all residents of the state should continue to support the contractors to deliver their projects on schedule.
“The right environment should be created for them to work. For me, I will be on the field regularly to supervise the projects and ensure that the right thing is done”.
At the Industry road leading to Rivers Port, Governor Wike expressed happiness that the contractor has commenced work after last week’s flag off.
The contractor on the Industry Road has started working on the drains and the restructuring of the main portions of the damaged road.
