Abuja-Based Lawyer Who Accused Senator Akpabio Of N108.1 Billion Fraud Appears Before EFCC

An Abuja-based Lawyer, Leo Ekpenyong, who petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) ‎on the allegations of N108.1 billion fraud against former Governor Godswill Akpabio,‎ has been invited by the commission for further clarification, ThisDay reports.

Ekpeyong has written three different petitions to the anti-graft agency with damaging allegations against the former governor of Akwa Ibom and current minority leader of the Senate.

The three petitions were dated June 8, June 22 and August 3, 2015.

Ekpenyong reportedly arrived at the commission’s headquarters about 10am Monday, October 26, 2015 and was still at ‎the commission at the time of filing this report.
