Former military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and former South African President, Thabo Mbeki on Monday, March 9, 2015 held a closed door meeting with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting, which was held at the Kaduna office of General Buhari, comes 24 hours after the duo had met with president Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
As was the case on the earlier meeting with Mr. President, none of the participants in the meeting spoke to newsmen about what transpired, but indications are that it was aimed at fostering peace ahead of the forthcoming elections.
