About 63 of people were on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 killed in Monguno, Borno State when they were struck by Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) susoected to be left behind by Boko Haram insurgents.
According to The Cable, most of the casualties were women and children.
A security source was quoted as saying: “There is no clear information about the causalities but women and children were the main victims.”
The report is yet to be confirmed by Gideon Jubrin, the Police Public Relations Officer for Borno State as calls and text message to his phone calls were not replied.
