Just continue reading to learn more.

When I started with online shopping I was totally green about what types of coupons to use and where to find them and this is something normal, especially if it’s your first time and want to increase your savings.

There are hundreds of places to get extra coupons. For instance, you can get the Kind Pen Coupons at couponsplusdeals to enjoy your smoking game with vape.

There are also different types of coupons including manufacturer coupons, store coupons, printable coupons, blinkies, Catalina’s and more. Looks confusing? No. You just need to understand what the different types of coupons are.

Let’s get started.

1. Manufacturer Coupon

As the name suggests, manufacturer coupons are issued by the manufacturer in an effort to entice customers to buy more of their products. They are the most common types of coupons advertised on newspapers. However, the stores that sell products have the liberty to decide whether to accept the coupons or not. But as a rule of the thumb, you must always check for the expiration date to avoid using them accidentally.

2. Store Coupons

Store coupons are those that are issued by the store where you are buying products from and are meant to be used at that specific store only. They are also issued by the store owners to encourage buyers to buy their products. They do not relate with the manufacturer coupons. This means the discounts go to the retailer.

3. Catalinas

Catalinas, also known as check out coupons are named after Catalina Marketing, a company that introduced the small box that is used when printing coupons. These coupons are issued by the cashier at the time of purchase together with your receipt.

They usually appear at the back of the receipt so you can use them for future purchases. Catalinas can either be manufacturer or store coupons. The good thing is that they can also be like cash. This means, you can be rewarded in form of cash which you can use in your next shopping.

4. Internet Printable

These are the most common types of coupons for online purchasing. Internet printable coupons are usually found on the internet from coupon websites such as couponsplusdeals and more. Internet printable could either be store coupons or mfg. coupons. These types of coupons are reset at the beginning of each month and customers are allowed a limit of 2 printable coupons every month.

5. Digital Coupons

Digital coupons aka eCoupons are available online or can also be sent via SMS if you have a smartphone. They can either be manufacturer or store coupons and are more popular nowadays. You just have to visit the coupon site, choose the coupons you want and then download them onto your buyer loyalty cards. But these coupons cannot be stacked.

6. Blinkies

Blinkies are the types of coupons you find on store shelves particularly in front of the items they are meant for. As the name suggests, they are usually blinking in red light and usually found in retail stores so you should always check carefully as you walk on the aisles.

7. Hangtags

If you have ever bought things like drinks, oils, jellies, soaps and any item with a neck, then you must have seen these types of coupons. These types of coupons derive their name due to the fact that they are hanged on the neck of the product.

8. Peelies

Peelies are the types of coupons you will find on a product’s packaging in form of a peel away sticker. Once you buy a product with a peelie, peel off the coupon since some are meant to be used immediately on the item you have purchased. They are usually exclusive manufacturer coupons.

Final Thoughts

There are thousands of online coupons out there. However, you must be careful to spot fake ones. Remember, there are offers that appear genuine but they are fake.
