Saudi Arabia
In Saudi Arabia, a country that occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula, a woman has the right to divorce her husband if he does not bring her fresh coffee every morning.
A man, in the country is free to divorce his wife after he tells her “I divorce you” three times. The same man is also free to revoke his divorce statement if he said it in the heat of the moment and the woman agrees.
However, even if a woman has good reason to divorce her husband, she has to go to a court for the case to be heard.
Hong Kong
According to Chinese laws that are ancient, a woman is allowed to murder her husband if he is caught cheating. However, she would have to do it with her bare hands. The husband’s partner can be murdered anyhow she deems fit.
Samoa
Samoa has made it illegal for a man to forget his wife’s birth date. This makes it perfectly legal for a woman to file for divorce if her husband forgets her birthday.
Kansas
Kansas law sees nothing wrong with a woman filing for a divorce if her husband does not give his mother-in-law utmost respect. In fact, it is illegal for a man to disrespect his mother in law, and his wife has every right to divorce him on that count.
South Carolina
In South Carolina, according to Offenses Against Morality and Decency Act, it is illegal for a man who is above 16 years to seduce an unmarried woman by promising her marriage. This offense is punished by not more than one year imprisonment.
Kuwait
Kuwait’s marriage laws are similar to Saudi Arabia’s. A man, in Kuwait can divorce his wife by saying “I divorce you”, three times. He can, however, revoke the statement after the first two times, but the divorce is irrevocable after the third time.
A woman is allowed to divorce her husband on grounds of desertion. In fact, a woman has aright to divorce her husband if he so much as looks at another woman.
It is little wonder that the divorce rates in Kuwait have crossed 50% as at 2015.
Utah
In Utah, a man is responsible for any criminal act that his wife indulges in, so far the woman is in his presence. This could give the woman the right to murder her cheating husband’s partner, as long as he is present.
Los Angeles
The City which is in California makes it legal for a man to beat his wife. However, it must be done with a leather strap which is less than two inches wide, or the woman gives him permission to use a wider strap.
Hartford
It is illegal for a man to kiss his wife on Sundays in Hartford. Also, a man or woman can get divorced from their spouse without having to prove either of them are guilty of anything through a process called No Fault divorce, in Connecticut.
