7 Signs Your Partner Is Also Your Best Friend

Must read

For a relationship to work and last, the two people need to be more than just partners and lovers – they would have to be best friends. Best friends have a relationship that is completely different from others — it’s more tolerant, compassionate and accommodating. While best friends may be really close and there for each other no matter what, they know that one does not own the other. There is just something about the deep care and undying respect for one another that makes a relationship with a best friend more special than the rest.

There is no judgement with best friends and no one person is better than the other. Best friends see each other as equals, support you always and will never falter at any aspect when it concerns the relationship between the two of you. If you’re wondering whether the relationship between you and your partner will last, ask yourself if you’re best friends? Here are some of the signs to help you figure out whether or not your man is also your bestie:

Your confide in your partner when it comes to worries and problems
He may not necessarily provide a solution that can help change a situation you’re stressed out over, but he makes you feel better just by being there. He cares and sympathizes with your every stress, and that makes you feel comfortable to confide in him about everything.

You love the same things
Best friends get along usually because they share common interests and dislikes for things. When it comes to best friends, it’s very rare that the “opposite attracts” come into play because to be that close and in sync, you have to relate on so many levels.

You enjoy doing nothing together
It doesn’t have to be a fancy date every time with the two of you as you’re more than comfortable doing just about nothing together. Popcorn, pajamas and the Big Bang Theory? Count you guys in!

You don’t need their company at all times but you sure do prefer it
When you’re in a relationship, you tend to spend less time with your friends in favour of more time with your partner. However, if you’re hanging out with your partner amongst a large group of friends and realise that you’re having more fun just because he’s around, then he’s definitely your best friend.

You value each other’s opinions
You turn to each other when it comes to needing advice on certain things and each one given is something that you would consider. You trust your partner enough to practice the advice given because you know they want what’s best for you.

You laugh together
If your partner has you laughing and smiling all the time, they might very well be your BFF.  The love you have for each other is not solely the romantic kind, but the kind that has a deep sense of care. The kind that they call true love.

You fight friendly
You may not bump heads with each other all the time, but when you do, neither one of you will take it personally. Because best friends are bound to argue from time to time, but they always bounce back from each quarrel every time!
