No fewer than seven policemen have been reported killed in a motor accident involving police special forces along the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Sunday, July 12, 2020.
Eyewitnesses said the crash occurred around 4:30pm close to Jaji Military Cantonment when a speeding 18-seater bus with kitted and rifled policemen somersaulte
It could not ascertain where the Policemen were coming from but learnt they were heading towards Zaria from Kaduna when the accident happened.
An eyewitness said: “It was a terrible accident because I counted about seven bodies of policemen in the middle of the road. Two were seriously injured while others survived.”
Muhammed Jalige, the public relations officer, PPRO of Kaduna Police Command, told journalists the Command has sent a team of policemen to the scene to find out what actually happened.
