60-year old Amali Megidadio has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Ikeja, Lagos for allegedly duping one Goke Odulami of N8 million by fraudulently selling six plots to land to the latter.
Megidadio is answering to a 3-count charge of false pretence and issuing a dishonoured cheque, which he pleaded not guilty to.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Eranus Nnamonu, said the offence was punishable under Section 312 (i) (a) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Magistrate Abimbola Komolafe who presided over the case granted Megidadio bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties who must be blood relatives of the accused, adjourning the case until Thursday, November 6, 2014.
