At least six persons were killed in a ghastly auto accident which occurred on the Lokoja-Abuja road in the early hours of Tuesday, March 22, 2016 between a truck belonging to Dangote Cement Company and a J5 bus.
Ten other person reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash that happened around 4:a.m., at a bend at Ohono village.
Confirming the crash, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Kogi, Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma, said that traffic control was ongoing at the bend to avoid disruption to vehicular movement, adding that four other persons escaped unhurt in the accident.
The FRSC boss suggested that the accident may have been caused by hazy weather and the state of the road.
The corpses of the deceased were deposited at the mortuary department of the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja while the injured victims were receiving treatment at the same hospital.
