NAN – A 50-year-old man, Nwaogu Uchemadu, on Friday appeared in an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for alleged threat to his neighbours’ live.
Uchemadu is facing a charge bordering on threat to life.
The Prosecutor, Sgt Cyriacus Osuji, told the court that the accused committed the offence in December, 2015 at their resident, No. 20, Ojeleye Street, Budo Peninsular Estate, Ajah, Lagos State.
He said that the accused threatened to kill one Uche Anomihe and his wife due to a misunderstanding they had.
“During a quarrel the accused promised he was going to kill them, so Anomihe had to report the matter to the police,’’ he said.
Osuji said the offence contravened Section 56 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs A. T. Omoyele, granted bail to the accused in the sum N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She ordered that the sureties must be gainfully employed and show evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government.
She adjourned the case till Feb. 2, for mention.
