Some States Governors, including those elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, are due to visit ailing President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, Punch reports.
According to the newspaper, the governors are scheduled to have lunch with President Buhari, adding that the visit was being organised by the office of the Major General Babagana Munguno (Rtd), the national security adviser.
The governors scheduled for the trip are Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State (South South), Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State (South East), Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State (North West) and Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State (South West).
The names of the governors North East and North Central were not mentioned in the report.
This move follows the release of photos showing Buhari dining, reportedly in London on Sunday, with governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and leaders of the party.
The photo has been widely criticized as a fake and and old photo from the archives.
