Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski made and shattered records as he helped his side to a 5-1 comeback victory over rivals, Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Tuesday scoring all five goals.
Lewandowski came on as a second half substitute and surprisingly scored five times in a space of nine minutes. It took him six minutes on the pitch to score his first goal to level scores for his side after he slid in a goal from close range.
He made the scores 2-1 after he scored a stunning goal from a distance 58 seconds later. Little did Wolfsburg know that there was still plenty of drama left to be witnessed.
Just two minutes later, the towering striker scored what completed the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Bundesliga. He first hit the post, forced a save from the goalkeeper before finding the back of the net.
Not satisfied, the Polish man volleyed in a fourth just two minutes later.
In another three minutes, Lewandowski the mauling of Wolfsburg when he scored an acrobatic goal to complete his five-goal haul.
With that show of class, the 27-year created and broke records, some of which are:
i.) He now has the quickest hat-trick in Bundesliga history scored in just four minutes.
ii.) He set a record for fastest four goals in a match.
iii) He broke his four goals in a match record shortly after by scoring his fifth.
iv) He has scored the fastest five goals in a major European league since Opta started taking note of stats.
v) He is the third Bayern Munich player to score five goals in a game after Gerd Muller and Dieter Hoeness.
