5 Female Students Declared Missing In Imo

Imo State Police Command, on Monday, March 7, 2022, declared five female secondary students missing.

They are, Miss Ifeyinwa Ugwu, 14, Miss Goodness Longtale, 15, Miss John Chinasa Favour, 16, Miss Miracle Oluebube, 17, and Miss Chizoba Destiny Uchechukwu, 18.

Also, declared missing was one Chukwuma Emeribe ‘m’, 75, of No. 1, Welder Road, Umuagu Umuguma in Owerri West Local Council of the state.

Three of the missing girls are students of Akwakuma Girls Secondary School and Ikenegbu Girls Secondary School both in Owerri, the state capital.

Micheal Abattam, the Command’s spokesperson, in a statement, on Monday, March 7, 2022, said their whereabouts have remained unknown since they left their respective residences over a week ago.

Abattam stated that all efforts made by both the police and their relatives to trace their whereabouts proved abortive.

The command also urged anyone with useful information regarding their whereabouts, to kindly report to the nearest police station or call the Police Public Relations Officer, on 08083031923.

The statement reads:  “ One Miracle Oluebube, f, 17, of Aboh Mbaise Local Council of Imo State, chocolate in complexion, about 5ft tall, has an oval face with no tribal marks and speaks lgbo and English languages fluently.

“She absconded with money and phones of her guardian, one Nze Obinna Paschal of No. 7, Diamond Spot, Amakohia, Owerri, Imo State, on 15/02/2022 at about 1200hrs, to an unknown destination, and all efforts made to trace her whereabouts proved abortive.

“One Chizoba Destiny Uchechukwu, f, 18, a native of Umueze Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Council of Imo State, dark in complexion, average in height, has no tribal marks and speaks both Igbo and English languages fluently.

“She left her guardian’s house at No. 12, Harcourt Street, Ikenegbu Owerri, Imo State, on 21/02/2022 at about 0530hrs, to an unknown destination, and all efforts made to trace her whereabouts proved abortive.

“Also, one lfeyinwa Ugwu f, 14, a native of Akabor Village in Akaborugwu Local Council of Enugu State, dark in complexion, about 5ft tall, has no tribal marks and speaks both Igbo and English languages fluently. She left her guardian’s house at No. 1, Solid Road, Control Post, on 27/02/2022 at about 0730hrs, to an unknown destination, and all efforts made to trace her whereabouts proved abortive.

“One John Chinasa Favour f, 16 years of N0. 8, Uga Street, Amakohia, Owerri, Imo State, dark in complexion, about 5ft tall, slim, has no tribal marks and speaks lgbo and English languages fluently. She left the above address for her school Akwakuma Girls Secondary School, Owerri, on 11/02/2022 at about 1400hrs, to an unknown destination and has not returned since then.

“Goodness Longtale, f, 15, of Mikan Local Council of Plateau State, dark in complexion, about 5ft tall and has no tribal marks and speaks lgbo and English languages fluently.

“She left the above address on 13/02/2022 at about 1500hrs, to an unknown destination and has not returned since then.

“One Chukwuma Emeribe ‘m’, of No. 1, Welder Road, Umuagu Umuguma in Owerri West Local Council of Imo State, fair in complexion, about 5ft tall, has no tribal marks and speaks both Igbo and English languages fluently. He left the above address on 28/01/2022 at about 1400hrs, to an unknown destination and has not returned since then.”
