Which relationship does not require certain privacy. When it comes to two individuals, marriage even though calls for sharing and caring and mutual understanding, warrants some privacy. Here are certain areas where individual privacy is to be respected by both the spouses:
Interacting with own circle of friends
With marriage, no doubt, another set of friends forms that includes best buddies from both the sides. However it does not necessarily mean the their existing set of friend circles also get to be dragged into this relationship. Letting your spouse enjoy her or his company of friends is also healthy to a relationship. So allow your spouse this freedom to interacting and mingling with her or his own friends groups.
Personal space
Give each other enough personal space like enough time to interact with relatives, friends and going out, working on certain things and hobbies too. This will allow maturity in the relationship. Similarly, allowing ample space while your spouse is at the work station at home is also equally important.
Privacy in personal matters
Marriage calls for sharing some sort of personal info like, best friend or important relatives numbers. However, it does not necessarily mean that you both should be sharing your respective net banking, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter passwords. This is avoidable as you guys have different set of personality traits and different perspectives. The fact that you are staying under one roof does not demand your very personal details to be revealed. In times of crisis, of course, you can share the passwords of e-mail etc. Later, you can change the passwords to guard your personal privacy.
Do not be over inquisitive
Too many questions on friends before marriage and existing friend circles may spoil the romantic flavour. So keep giving minimum info on friends and expect the same from your spouse.
