Suspected sea pirates on have killed four policemen and abducted six others in separate operations in Bayelsa state, Punch reports.
According to the report, the policemen were killed at the Santa Barbara waterway, while the six were kidnapped at Nembe water way.
It was gathered that the gunmen ambushed the policemen on Friday, October 24, 2014, at about 1:30 pm as they were escorting a Nigerian Agip Oil company barge, seizing their gunboat.
Both the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police Valentine Ntomchukwu and the police spokesman Alex Akigbe could not respond to attempts to his life.
