Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos state will be closed for a period of six months to undergo repairs. the Federal Ministry of Works has said.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola making the announcement on Monday, July 6, 2020 said the closure will begin on July 24.
He disclosed that consultations are currently ongoing for another phase of repair works to begin on the 11.8 km bridge.
Popoola said the repair works will start on the outward mainland section of the bridge.
He added that the ministry is already working with relevant agencies to ensure the free flow of traffic during the period.
