A man identified as Mr. Paul Igwe, received the beating of his life at Enyibuchiri Street, off Ezza Road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, for playing loud music to the discomfort of his co-tenants.
Co-tenants attacked the 35-year-old man and purportedly beat him inflicting injuries behind his head.
According to reports the victim was attacked after rejecting several appeals to lower the volume of his musical set, which had been constituting a nuisance to the environment.
Igwe’s wife and concerned neighbours later rushed him to the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, FETHA, for medical treatment when his condition became obvious as he was gradually fainting.
As at the time of this report, all efforts to speak with the victim proved abortive as he waited to be discharged from the hospital as plaster was seen on the side of his head.
