A 3-year old girl, Oluwabunmi Ajelero, was on Sunday, April 19, 2015 kidnapped from the Surulere Baptist Church, on 52/54, Ojuelegba Road, Surulere by an unknown man who rode off with the toddler on a motorbike.
This comes barely a week after three kidnapped children were rescued after spending about a week with their nanny abductor.
According to Vanguard, the child was kidnapped from the children section of the church while service was ongoing.
A family member also revealed that the family had received a call from a male voice who disclosed that Bunmi as the missing child is usually called,is in their custody, demanding an undisclosed sum before she would be released.
The relative, Adejuwon Adediran said: “Some strange people came into the church on Sunday , met the children who were playing and went away with Olubunmi.
“Adults have their session while children have theirs. At the end of the service, children usually leave their session for the adultssession where they would be playing while waiting for the parents to close. It was in the process of waiting that the strangers came and picked my brother’s daughter, Olubunmi”
Police authorities have also availed that they have begun investigation aimed at rescuing the child.
