Three members of the Boko Haram sect who had been declared wanted by the Nigerian Army have been arrested in Yobe State, the Commandant of the 27th Task Force Brigade, Dahiru Bako announced on Thursday, November 19, 2015.
Speaking in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, Bako said one of the suspected terrorists was arrested at Jakusko Local Government Area while the remaining two were nabbed in Damaturu.
Bako also availed that the weekly markets have been banned in order to cut the supply of logistics to the insurgents which they normally buy from such markets.
On the return of residents to communities liberated by security forces, Bako said: “Buni-Yadi has been liberated of the Boko Haram insurgents but the state government in collaboration with the local government are making concerted efforts to provide all the needed facilities before the return to the displaced communities.
