A randy 25-year-old man, Kingsley Churchill, has raped a four-year-old girl in her parent’s house located at Adeshokan Street, Ayobo, Lagos State.
The pervert had reportedly inserted his fingers into the minor’s vagina before he subsequently had a carnal knowledge of his victim.
The incident which was said to have taken place on Saturday, January 24, 2015 was later discovered by the girl’s parents who called the attention of the police and filed a report in that regard.
Churchill was later arrested and dragged to the Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court where he was arraigned on a one count of sexual assault.
The charge read, “That you, Kingsley Churchill, on January 24, 2015, at Adeshokan Street, Ayobo, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault a four-year-old girl by inserting both your finger and penis into her vagina.”
The police prosecutor, Etim Nkankuk, said the offence was punishable under Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011, as reported by Punch.
Churchill’s attorney, J.A. Adewunmi, applied for his client’s bail in liberal terms after he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, A.O. Isaac, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned until Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
