Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, has said turning Nigeria around will require three core banks in the country.
The former Governor of Anambra State made this known on Monday, October 17, 2022, when he paid a courtesy call to the controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.
The LP presidential candidate visited Gumi at his residence in Kaduna in the company of his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, and some party chieftains.
In his speech, Obi stated that the Bank of Agriculture; Bank of Industry, and Bank of Infrastructure will contribute the growth of the country.
The former governor said the three banks will make funds easily accessible to SME startups and individuals.
In his remarks, Gumi advised Obi not to let the Obidient movement end after the 2023 elections, urging him to continue contributing to the nation’s development.
