Deji Adeyanju, a prominent public commentator, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, warned former president, Goodluck Jonathan against supporting any presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
Adeyanju’s warning comes a day after the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, visited Jonathan at the latter’s residence located in the highbrow Maitama District of Abuja.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by his running mate, Senator Kassim Shettima, and five APC governors, sought the support of the former Nigerian leader in the 2023 presidential election.
However, Adeyanju cautioned Tinubu not to fall for APC’s ‘deceit’.
“Dear Goodluck Jonathan, you won’t die if you don’t support anyone in this election,” Adeyanju said.
“During the APC primaries when the cabal were deceiving you, hope you remember all my warnings to you that they just wanted to use and dump you. A word is enough for the wise.”
