The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeris (TAN), Enugu state chapter over the weekend endorsed deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu to return to national assembly as a senator representing Enugu west in the 2015 general elections.
Thisday reports that the endorsement was made at the group’s town hall meeting held at the ENugu state office of the group in G.R. A area of the state.
The group said Ekweremadu has given his senatorial district effective and qualitative representation, adding that his achievements has distinguished him in the state and the South East zone as a whole, hence the need for his re-election
The Enugu state coordinator of TAN, Anayo Onwuegbu said Ekweremadu had already picked the nomination form seekign re-election, adding that his re-election also favoured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) decision that all principal officers of the party in the national assembly be returned.
TAN’s endorsement, negates the views of the serving chairmen of the local governments comprising Enugu west senatorial zone who recently endorsed governor Sullivan Chime as their candidate to replace senator Ekweremadu in 2015.
