PORT HARCOURT – Two alleged gay men were forced out of their home by a mob and forced to masturbate and have sex in public with a crowd of onlookers jeered in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, Gay Star News reports.

The entire mob attack, which is believed to have taken place on January 28th 2014, was recorded on phones by people in the crowd and shared on social media.

The jungle attack came after the Anti-gay Law was signed by President President, which prohibits gay marriage and homosexual relations and activities.

The vigilantes forced the suspected gay men to re-enact in public what they are believed to be doing behind closed doors.

Gay activist, Bisi Alimi, speaking to GSN said: ‘This law gives ordinary people the opportunity to carry mob justice out and Nigeria is known for this.

‘They don’t go to the police because they know the police will just collect money so they administer the punishment themselves but no judge has pronounced them guilty.’

This ‘jungle justice’ carried out by the mob is totally unacceptable, citizen;s should not take laws into their hands.

The video cannot be published here to protect the identities of both men. The photo below is also blurred to hide their identity.
