Two persons on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, sustained varying degrees of injury in a motor accident in Ihiala, Anambra state.
The accident which occurred opposite a filling station, involved two trailers and a Hyundai car with the two victims
The driver of the vehicle was on top speed when he suddenly lost control and rammed under the moving trailer.
Confirming the incident, the State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Andrew Kumapayi said no death was recorded in the crash.
He advised motorists to avoid excessive speeding and always exercise patience while driving.
He said, “The crash was between unidentified driver of a Mercedes Trailer with registration number AGL 404 XY, unidentified driver of a Mark Trailer with registration number AKL 298 YU and another unidentified driver of Hyundai Car with registration number UMA 192 HR.
“Four male adults were involved in the crash, two out of which sustained injuries and were rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Ihiala by FRSC rescue team from Ihiala command.”
He however noted that efforts were on to clear the obstacles while the FRSC rescue team were on ground managing the traffic.
