Two persons have been confirmed dead in a lone accident while another was injured in a separate accident that occurred along the Ondo-Ore Road in Ondo State.
The two dead victims were said to be personnel of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
They were said to be returning from the burial ceremony of a mother of one of their colleagues in Okitipupa.
Witnesses said the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road and somersaulted into a ditch.
Olufemi Omole, the spokesman of the Ondo NSCDC Command, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, October 31, 2020, said it was a moment of sober reflection for the command.
The injured was taken to the Ondo State Trauma Centre, while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the Ondo State General Hospital.
