Two persons that attended the 2020 Ikun Day anniversary in Akoko Southwest local government area of Ondo have been kidnapped by gunmen.
The victims were abducted along Ikun Oba Akoko road on Saturday, August 15, 2020.
A source gave the name of one of them as Surajudeen Alao.
The source said a search party has been organised to rescue the victims.
It was gathered the victims’ families were yet to contacted by the abductors for possible payment of ransom.
Tee-Leo Ikoro, the Ondo Police spokesman, could not be reached for comments.
But policemen and Amotekun Corps were said to have begun march into the forest to rescue the victims.
