A young boy, Deleon Alonso Smith, in his teens accidentally shot himself dead while trying to take a selfie with a fully loaded gun in Texas .
The unfortunate ncdent happened when the deceased 19-year-old was reportedly posing with a gun in his bedroom which incidentally went off.
According to Metro UK, his cousin told police Deleon found the gun on Tuesday before taking the ill-fated photos.
Smith, a father of two was due to start college this week.
One of his bereaved uncles whose identity was not disclosed described the death as the worst thing that has ever happened to him.
He said: “This is the worst time of my life.”
