A 20-year-old pregnant Mexican woman, Nathaly Cartas Leon had been murdered and had her fetus cut out by a 17-year-old girl she met via the Facebook social platform in the city of Reynosa, in the north-eastern Mexican state of Tamaulipas.
The suspect identified as Guadalupe Salinas Hernandez, reportedly had n abortion and had become obsessed with “finding another baby” to replace the one she lost.
The deceased was eight months pregnant when she connected with a 17-year-old on Facebook, where the teen was giving away nursery items.
It was learnt that Leon had gone to the home of the jealous teenager who immediately attacked her with a blunt instrument and repeatedly stabbed her before she subsequently cut out the fetus from her womb which led to her instant death.
Although Leone had been reported missing, it was only when Hernandez turned up in hospital claiming the baby was hers that her alleged involvement came to light.
The teen was taken up for interrogation by the police where she confessed that the baby belonged to a woman she had killed days earlier.
After the confession that the police officials discovered the mutilated body of the deceased at her home.
It was learnt that the killer got pregnant for a man during a relationship but had aborted the baby sometime in April and was bent on finding another baby to claim as her own.
