An Airbus A320 airplane, belonging to German airline, Germanwings (a subsidiary of Lufthansa) has crashed in in French Alps, France, with all 150 people on board (144 passengers and 6 crew members) feared dead.
The flight 4U 952 was reportedly enroute Duesseldorf, Germany from Barcelona, Spain
The flight was said to have sent out a distress call before it crashed.
French President, Francoise Hollande, who has since sent a condolence message to German Chancellor, Angela Merkel said: “The conditions of the accident, which have not yet been clarified, lead us to think there are no survivors.”
Spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet said the search for remains of the plane “extremely long and extremely difficult” due to the remoteness of the area where the plane crashed.
