An eyewitness revealed that the gunmen killed a certain Msugh Gaza and three of his sons in Gaza village, with three others killed in Tse-Gbaun and Ayiase villages.

He said: “The attack happened in the early hours of today (Monday), and the area is not safe as I talk to you, and as such we cannot search for the other missing persons. But we have, so far, recovered seven dead bodies.”

When approached for confirmation, the Taraba State police spokesman, Joseph Kwaji said he had tried reaching the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Donga for details to no avail.

Also commenting on the incident, an aide of acting Governor, Sani Danladi said the Governor had directed military authorities to deploy personnel to maintain order.
