Paul Scholes has spoken up about the club form of his former teammate, Wayne Rooney.
The former Manchester United midfielder who was speaking to BT Sport noted that the 30-year-old who he played with for nine seasons at Old Trafford is at his best when he is upset or aggressive.
“You get the best out of Wayne when he is on the edge, when he is going through people, when he is moaning at linesman, moaning at his team-mates.
“It is a much better Wayne Rooney. To have a placid Wayne Rooney is just not the same.
“The aggressiveness was there tonight. His movement, his touch was brilliant when it came into him and his passing was great as well. The only thing that was missing was the goal,” Scholes explained.
